Chapter 2- It's On Their Mind In California- One week prior to March Break "No more videos, Aaaaah" Clint said while assuming the fetal position. "These girls are pathetic, except for that girl Marisa. She is really talented." "Yeah, that is what you are really thinking. You just like the massive tits on that chick" Dave responded. "Well they are nice," Scott said. "They called Marisa and let her know that she is coming down on April 30 for the three month shoot. We all get to choose one audition video each and the director will chose what role she will get." Bob added. "I choose Marisa" Scott and Clint said in unison. "Whoa, What if I want Marisa?" Bob said. "Too bad jerk face, she’s mine. Plus I’m the only one with the nice body here." "We’ll just see who Marisa chooses." Clint said. "I’ll bet two hundred bucks that she chooses me," Scott said proudly "It’s a bet!" "Let’s finish the videos, only a hundred more to go" Dave says while turning the VCR back on. "Whoah, stop right there, Dave. I choose her. Bailey Dougall. " Clint says while grinning "She may come second to Marisa, but I love that Australian accent" "Hey Dave, how about drummer girl. I want Janine Alderman. She looks really cool." Janine had brown curly hair and brown eyes. She wore dark eye makeup but she was wearing all purple. She mentioned in the video her love for Silverchair and how she plays the drums. "Dave, who’s your choice? Dave?" Scott said while shaking Dave. "Zzzzzzzzzzzz,zzzzzzzzzz" This was the only sound to be heard from Dave. He was knocked out cold. "Hey, Dave" He was like a stone. Clint shook him back and forth, until there was a "Thud" Dave fell on the floor and had woken up. "What the heck???" Dave said. "Choose the video you want, Dave" Scott said. "Okay fine, I take her." Dave said pointing to the screen. He had chosen Ainslie Paige Winters. "You take her????" Scott said surprised. "Why, what’s wrong with her?" Dave said while rubbing his eyes. "Well you’ll just see when you meet her." They all looked at each other thinking the same thing. "She’s got talent. I guess that’s what’s different from her and the other girls." Dave replied "We’ll see," Clint said. The Moffatts had fallen into the discrimination mode. They were judging these girls by their appearances and not by their talent. They have fallen into the trap, which many people do.
Author note: This is not true. I don’t know what they think of people on the outside, and I hope that they can judge people on their personality and not based on looks. I do think that most people do judge on a first impression. In this society looks is what people look at first.
